The Local Police of Marbella will hold an open day that will take place on Thursday, the 29th, on the Boulevard of San Pedro Alcántara, from 7:30 p.m. The Councilor for Citizen Security, José Eduardo Díaz, said that the initiative “responds to the proximity police strategy that we are following and will allow citizens in general and, especially children, to know better this municipal body and the media materials you have to develop your daily safety duties. ”

Díaz explained that “it is the first time that a conference is organized in an outdoor environment, since many visits to schools are normally received during the school year, where children fulfill their desire to be a police officer for a day'”. He said that the activity “will follow an identical program and our intention is to be as dynamic as possible” and has detailed that a total of 20 people will participate: 12 police officers, including drone pilots, squadrons, workshops and dog unit and 8 auxiliaries.

The program will begin at 7.30 pm, with the exhibition of vehicles and the squad; a workshop for children and a sample of material where you can see the evolution of it over the years. Specifically, for one hour there will be a vehicle from the crowded unit, two squad horses, a patrol car and two police motorcycles, where the little ones can get on, interact with the sirens and ask the agents questions. The workshop will take place in a tent and will allow the little ones to make their own police badges on cloth. The material will be displayed in another tent, and will include the instruments used when controls are carried out, such as the narcotest machine, defibrillators and control lights.
